ABOUT ME

NICOLÁS MAIDANA

I hold a degree in Physical Education and Sport. I graduated from IUACJ in Uruguay and also studied at the University of São Paulo in Brazil.

My passion for football and strength and conditioning led me to study Physical Education, and later to focus my academic development on high-performance sport. This path took me to different parts of the world, where I had the opportunity to learn and experience different working cultures.

For the past 14 years, I have worked as a strength and conditioning coach, training athletes from different sports, leading teams, and being part of environments built around high performance. Throughout my career, I have competed in tournaments such as the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, the UEFA Europa League and Conference League, the Uruguayan Championship, Serie A and Coppa Italia, Liga MX, Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil, LaLiga in Spain, and the Greek Super League.

Alongside my coaching work, I also work as an educator, giving conferences around the world on football strength and conditioning and sports science, as well as consulting for sports organizations and athletes.

As a person I think of Nico who was in the hardest moments of my career doing more of a friend than a teacher, putting his shoulder when he needed it and pushing in the moments that were most uphill, with the right words with that constant motivation to improve day by day."

I had the pleasure of working with Nico, having good references from him prior to this, and where in a semester I was able to verify those words with facts. Nico is an ideal person for a large and important team because of how motivating he is with the group; because of how hardworking he is and because regardless of what is in front of him, he always has clear objectives and he knows how to convey that very well to the player.
